Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) ( England) Regulations 2018 .

On October 1st 2018 the Statutory Instrument:

2018 No. 486 - Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) ( England) Regulations 2018 came in to force.

This new law imposes a nationwide minimum welfare requirement on virtually all animal welfare activities, while we at Rosehill welcome this long overdue law it is inevitably going to change the way we operate, and the costs of, some of the services that we provide.

Cattery - The first significant change is that it was impossible to align the Grade II Listed Building status of the traditional 18th Century barn used as our cattery with the new Act of Parliament so regrettably we have closed our cattery

Licence - All dog boarding establishments, kennels and the home boarding providers, are now licensed by their local authority. In the case of Rosehill Boarding Kennels that's Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC)

Following rigorous inspections AVDC have awarded Rosehill Farm Boarding Kennels the highest possible category of        licence - 5 Star. (You can see the Licence here)
